With the BIMmTool 23 we revolutionize the point cloud functionality in ARCHICAD.
Highlight is our own point cloud viewer, the BIMm Navigator. In this viewer, the individual terrestrial scans are displayed in bubble view and in full scan resolution. With the mouse wheel pressed down you can pan in all directions and zoom in and out while scrolling.
With one click you can switch between reflectivity mode and the color scan view, provided the scans were also taken in color.
Of course the BIMm Navigator is linked to our BIMmTool palette. You can use all “easy to measure” functions by simply clicking on the desired points with the left mouse button in the BIMm Navigator.
Modelling with point clouds has never been easier. With the “Show in 3D” command you can check the position of the modelled parts directly within the point cloud.
The number of scans that can be read is only limited by your hard disk size.
The scans are automatically clustered by stories. You can also create your own clusters to organize your scan project.
We have already made sure during import that the point cloud is available to you in different resolutions.
Via the Camera View the selected point cloud is displayed in the ARCHICAD 3D window.
Individual model representation
Using the BIMmTool options in the model representation, the point clouds in the floor plan, section and views as well as in 3D can be managed intelligently. The resolution of the point cloud can be individually selected here according to requirements and/or computer performance.
3D GDL objects
The most common stationary scanners from Faro and Leica are stored as 3D GDL objects and linked to the point clouds.
Easy navigation in the project
With the command “Capture Panorama”, the point clouds from floor plan or 3D windows can be called up in the BIMm Navigator via the scanner symbols. This makes it very easy to find your way around the scan project and to quickly access the right scans. The floor plan sectional plane, which can already be set during import, is an additional support
